Like owls, foxes have become symbols of wisdom or wit. They know their terrain inside and out and travel with stealth. They also embody quick and strategic thinking when out on the trail. Being immersed in nature demands a certain amount of sharp cunning like the fox - at times having to 'outfox' challenges that arise.

In the real world, these stealthy animals favor the low-light of early morning and early evening. They can adapt to a variety of ecosystems like grasslands, mountains, deserts, and forests. The red fox, with reddish orange and white fur is the most common kind of fox. The red fox can be across North America and the world. They make their home in burrows (aka: dens) and tend to locate near bodies of fresh water.

As a cunning predator, red foxes can serve as a keystone species in their ecosystem. They keep small rodent and animal populations in check. This is imperative to preserving the delicate balance of flora and fauna within an ecosystem.
